What we print
We are a two-person print shop working from a converted garage with three cast-iron presses, a cabinet of wood and metal type, and a long list of regulars. Everything is set by hand, inked by hand and pulled by hand, which is why a run of fifty takes about as long as a run of five hundred would anywhere else.
- Wedding and event stationery, with envelopes lined to match
- Business cards on cotton stock, one or two colours
- Broadsides, posters and limited-edition prints
- Book jackets and endpapers for small presses
Paper
Most of our work goes onto 100% cotton paper from mills in New England and Portugal. We keep sample books for every weight and colour in the studio, and we are happy to post a small packet if you cannot visit.
Visiting
The studio is open by appointment on Thursdays and Saturdays. Write to us with the size, the number of colours and the date you need the job back, and we will reply within two working days with a quote and a proof schedule.
